What unclutter does

unclutter is a Chromium extension (WXT + Bun) that treats clutter removal as a typed decision problem: given page structure and reusable templates, Jev helps decide what to hide so readers keep the content that matters. It is maintained by Kitze alongside other indie tooling and is aimed at everyday browsing rather than agent frameworks. Building from source uses Bun install and a developer-mode load of the built extension; the README focuses on the product surface and neighbouring Kitze projects more than deep API theory. On this directory, unclutter represents the browser & computer-use category — applying Jev where latency and UX are visible to a human, not only to an agent loop. Prefer it when you want a shipped extension pattern for “decide what to remove” rather than a library for server-side triage. Because it ships as a real browser extension rather than a demo script, unclutter is a practical reference for putting Jev decisions next to DOM heuristics and reusable templates that users can refine over time.

Where it fits in the Jev stack

  • Reading-mode style decluttering with learnable template rules

  • Personal automation that flags or hides recurring page chrome
